Meet the founder
Designed by Les Waite
Postcard Pile is the work of artist and graphic designer Les Waite, who set out to create postcards worth keeping—cards with character, warmth, and a little wink of nostalgia.
Every design blends mid-century inspiration with modern craft, from retro illustrations and vintage typography to nature photography and heartfelt sayings.
Our story
How it all began
The earliest collections began with retro typography using the KartoonKutz2 dingbat font by Nick Curtis.
The color palette was inspired by the Mid-Century Color Catalog from Retro Supply, helping establish the cheerful vintage look that became the Postcard Pile style.
Over time the collection expanded beyond retro art into photography, modern graphics, humorous cards, seasonal greetings, and uplifting everyday messages.
